BIÑAN--Tanduay forced a rubber match in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup Finals after mauling Phoenix, 89-75, in Game 2 of the best-of-three series at the Alonte Sports Arena on Tuesday night.
The Rhum Masters used a 28-point fourth quarter onslaught to break away from the Accelerators, who were a win away from completing the D-League double entering the game.
Gelo Alolino exploded for 26 points on 7-of-13 shooting with three rebounds, two assists, and one steal for Tanduay, which once again tripped a virtual twice-to-beat disadvantage.
The team's defense, on the other hand, succeeded in containing Mike Tolomia, who was earlier named the tournament MVP.
