MANILA--NLEX and Blackwater look to get back at the winning track as they collide in the first game of the PBA Philippine Cup doubleheader on Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Road Warriors and the Elite battle each other at 4:15 p.m. as they eye the win column anew after their respective struggles recently.

NLEX lost its last two game, the recent one a 75-99 blowout defeat to Star last week that made Coach Yeng Guiao furious.

Blackwater, on the other hand, is also on a two-game slide, but it came right after a 2-0 start that made heads turn.

Meanwhile, Alaska aims at continuing its surge against Meralco in the main event at 7 p.m.

The Aces got a huge boost from the returning Calvin Abueva in their win against the GlobalPort Batang Pier last week, and they will once again look to him versus the Bolts.

Also expected to be a boost for Alaska is the arrival of Jake Pascual, who was acquired from Star in a trade for Rome Dela Rosa.
