BIÑAN—As of press time, Kaya Makati is in fourth place with a colossal matchup between Global Cebu and Ceres Negros happening in Cebu later Wednesday.

But Coach Noel Marcaida told Dugout Philippines that the club is not yet thinking about the knockout stages.

"It's still too far to think about the playoffs. The season is still long," Marcaida said after Makati scored a vital road win at Laguna at the Biñan Football Stadium.

The win pushed Makati momentarily ahead of Negros. Makati is actually tied with Cebu on points only that the latter has a superior goal difference.

Still, Marcaida looks to rack up as many wins as his club can to formally secure a seat in the next round.

"We just have to make sure that we get more points," Marcaida told his approach for Makati's remaining assignments.

Only the top four teams will enter the playoffs, more formally known as the finals series.
