BOCAUE—Injured shooting elbow and all, LA Tenorio delivered in what could be the biggest game of his career.
The flashy point guard was named the Cignal-PBA Press Corps Finals MVP for leading Ginebra to its second consecutive Governors' Cup championship.
Tenorio's stats throughout the series may deceive everyone as he averaged 13.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.3 steals a night through seven games.
But it was his Game 7 explosion that mattered the most.
Tenorio dropped five three-pointers and collected 26 points with four assists, one rebound, and one steal as the Barangay deposed the Meralco Bolts in front of 54,086 people at the Philippine Arena on Friday night.
