MARIKINA--Global Cebu hit a double whammy on Saturday night.

Following a 1-2 loss at Marikina at the start of the PFL season at the Marikina Sports Center, Coach Marjo Allado confirmed to reporters that Curt Dizon will be gone for quite some time due to a right arm injury.

Dizon, who was making his first domestic league game back with Cebu following a stint with the defunct Meralco Manila franchise, hurt his arm following a collision with Nelson Gasic late into their match. Dizon was stretchered off the field due to the grimacing pain and did not return.

"My main concern as a head coach is Curt Dizon," Allado said.

He later made a conjecture that Dizon's injury is not just an ordinary one.

"He fractured his arm," Allado thought. "There's no result yet, but the way we looked at it, there's something wrong."

Dizon's injury may have come at a wrong timing as Cebu heads to the Thuwanna Stadium in Yangon on Wednesday night to face Yangon United in the AFC Cup.

Dizon scored the lone goal in Cebu's 1-1 draw against Bali, and his offense will be dearly missed as the club takes on the Group G leader on the road.
