BINAN--Ceres Negros made three PFL season records on Wednesday night at the Binan Football Stadium.

Negros dropped six goals on Laguna, a league season-high on goals scored by a single team and third most all-time, just one shy of the seven goals Negros itself dropped on the defunct Manila side twice last year.

The defending champ's 6-2 win at Laguna is the biggest win and the highest-scoring game of the season.

The said scoreline is also the second highest-scoring match ever in the PFL, just below Marikina and Davao's combined nine goals in a 6-3 Marikina win last year.

But for winger Patrick Reichelt, it was all about a mission ahead of an incoming tough grind next month.

"This win is the most important for us going into that very tight schedule," said Reichelt, who was adjudged as the Man of the Match, during the post-match press conference at the Alonte Sports Arena. "It was pointed in the dressing room how important this one is."

Negros is in the middle of a swing of six matches in 18 days.

The club will return to the Binan Football Stadium on Saturday to face Marikina.

Negros will then head home to the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod to host Davao on June 6 before flying to Iloilo City to battle Iloilo on June 9.

Negros will finally get a week off after the Iloilo match, but up next will be five games in 15 days.

Good thing for Negros, it will start with a four-game home stand against Cebu (June 16), Marikina twice (June 20 and 23), and Laguna (June 27). Negros will then face Cebu on the road on June 30.
