BATANGAS CITY--James Yap was at the peak of his career when he last won the PBA All-Star 3-Point Shootout in 2009.

But the now 36-year-old Yap stunned the Batangas City Sports Center on Friday night when he defeated the younger Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle for the shootout title.

"Pwede pa rin pala [ako manalo]," Yap said on the win.

He then told the reporters, "Sobrang happy ako dahil after nine years, nakuha ko ulit."

Yap put up 24 points in each of the two rounds that were played in the competition, but he bared that consistency was not on his mind.

"Di ko iniisip kung ilan yung points ko doon sa first round, kasi pag iniisip mo, masyadong mapre-pressure ka," he continued.

He then said, "Ine-enjoy ko na lang. Kung ano ang makukuha ko, eh di yun."
