BINAN--Coach Braulio Lim could not help but marvel after Rizal finally scored a win in the MPBL Datu Cup in the most dramatic of ways.

Following an exchange of clutch shots within the last 23.1 seconds, the Crusaders got the last laugh on Thursday night as Alvin Vitug's mid-range jumper with 1.9 seconds gave them a hard-fought 80-79 victory at the Laguna Heroes.

"Feeling ko nga, nag-champion na kami," Lim told Dugout Philippines after the game held at the Alonte Sports Arena.

Lim, however, admitted that there was a bit of luck in that game-winning play.

"I designed it for the shooters. Actually, kay Eric Dela Cuesta. Decoy ko lang si Alvin," Lim bared how he really designed the play. "Ang nangyari, nag-fumble. Napunta pa rin sa kanya ang bola. Talagang God-willing ang pagkapanalo namin."

He then praised Vitug's overall performance in the game, saying, "Pagpasok pa lang niya, maganda na agad ang laro niya. Mula noong pumasok na siya, di na siya lumabas. Ang ganda ng nilaro niya. Maganda ang araw niya."

Now that they finally barged into the win column, all Lim can say in conclusion was: "Mabuti nagbunga naman ang lahat ng paghihirap namin sa ensayo."
