MANILA -- Pauline Lopez was blessed on her efforts as her road to medal campaign in taekwondo finally gained fruit.
She clinched the fourth bronze medal of the Philippine contingent in the continuing action of 18th Asian Games at JCC Plenary Hall in Jakarta.
The podium finish was ensured after she beat Nepali jin Gyani Chunara in the quarterfinals of women's 57 kg with a big 20-0 scoreline.
Unfortunately, she was defeated by gold medalist Luo Zongshi of China, 11-4, in the semifinals.
Currently, the Philippines seats to 14th place amassing five medals including the historic gold possession by Hidilyn Diaz in weightlifting.
