PASAY-- Yuka Saso admitted to some reporters upon her arrival from Jakarta on Tuesday night that winning the women's golf competitions in the Asian Games with Bianca Pagdanganan and Kaye Go is something that they still could not believe.

"Di pa kasi nagsi-sink in sa amin na naka-gold na kami," Saso said when she, Pagdanganan, Go, and weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz were given a warm welcome at the NAIA Terminal 2.

What made Saso's individual win even more special was that she pulled off a huge comeback in the final day on Sunday to steal the win from Liu Wenbo of China.

"It was a good comeback," continued Saso, who eagled the Par-5 Hole 18 to seal the gold.

Saso is set to take home PHP8 million in total for her two golds, but she said, "Di ko muna iniisip yun. Bata pa ako."

She even added that she does not have any plan on how to use the incentives.

For now, however, she is happy to prove the doubters, especially those who think golf is a game only for the boys, wrong.

"Wag siguro tignan ang mga babae pababa, kasi meron din naman kaming kaya," Saso, who is now looking forward to the Youth Olympic Games, said on what everyone can learn from their gold medal conquest.
