BOCAUE—As it turns out, John Pinto's trade journey is not yet done.

On Saturday, the eve of the start of the new Philippine Basketball Association season, Phoenix sent the vastly improved point guard to Meralco in an approved trade.

Pinto, who earlier in the week was acquired by the Fuel Masters from the Blackwater Elite, will now be going to the Bolts.

Pinto was in Meralco uniform during the opening ceremonies at the Philippine Arena.

Phoenix then acquired Jason Ballesteros and Meralco's 2020 second round pick.

Pinto will now join a guard-bevy Bolts lineup led by Baser Amer and Chris Newsome with incoming rookie Trevis Jackson joining the fray.

On the other hand, the Fuel Masters added another big man to their lineup in Ballesteros.
