QUEZON CITY—PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial handed a stiff sanction to four members of San Miguel after their unsportsmanlike roles during the controversial court invasion of a fan dressed in Spider-Man costume during Game 5 of the Philippine Cup Finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum two weeks ago.

Two players, Ronald Tubid and Kelly Nabong, were each slapped with three-game suspensions while two members of the Beermen's staff, Daniel Henares and Dr. Ramon Ibañez, were meted two-game bans each.

Tubid was seen punching the costumed fan, identified as Paolo Felizarta, while he was escorted out of the arena and into the nearby police station.

Nabong, on the other hand, also had his hands on another fan, a certain Flenn John Lola, when he was just at the SMB bench.

Aside from the suspensions, Tubid and Nabong were meted PHP75,000 fines, while Henares and Ibañez were each fined PHP50,000.
