QUEZON CITY--In many occasions, on the same night a player receives his Best Player of the Conference award, he ends up getting a sloppy performance.

On Wednesday night, however, Junemar Fajardo reversed the curse.

Fajardo posted numbers worthy of a BPC award as San Miguel romped Magnolia, 114-98, in Game 4 of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Hours after taking home his sixth BPC award for the conference, Fajardo went for the juggernaut, scoring 31 points on 13-of-14 shooting, 14 rebounds, one assist, and one block to lead the Beermen, who slowly recovered from the Hotshots' early barrage and turn it into a blowout win to knot the best-of-seven series at two wins apiece.

Terrence Romeo added 18 points, four rebounds, and five assists off the bench, while Chris Standhardinger posted a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds with two assists, two blocks, and two steals.

Jio Jalalon and Mark Barroca each scored 22 markers for Magnolia.
