CARMONA—With Head Coach Ernie Nierras having to attend personal matters for the second consecutive game day and lead assistant Richard Leyble out of town, Stallion Laguna had to assign another stand-in gaffer for its PFL clash against Mendiola at the PFF National Training Centre on Saturday.
Enter Coach Jade Bejemino.
"It's a big pressure," Bejemino said during the post-match press conference.
But despite the said pressure, Bejemino kept his trust in Nierras' system.
"We practiced all the plays in regard to this game," Bejemino further said.
However, he admitted that it took some words from Nierras, who still arrived at the venue come halftime, for the club to get pepped up.
"Coach Ernie showed up and gave a little advice to the players," Bejemino bared.
That halftime huddle bore fruit as Abou Sy scored the late winner for Stallion Laguna against Mendiola.

"We didn't get the result we wanted, but a win is a win," Bejemino continued.
Stallion Laguna will have one full week of rest before swinging back to action against Green Archers United on July 28 at the Biñan Football Stadium, and barring late personal schedule tweaks, Stallion Laguna's coaching staff is expected to be complete again.
