QUEZON CITY--Ginebra quickly recovered from its biggest playoff loss in recent memory with a blowout of its own against NorthPort in Game 2 of the PBA Governors' Cup semifinals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Monday night.

Two nights after the Batang Pier dealt the Barangay a 124-90 beating in Game 1, the latter answered with a 113-88 rout to tie the best-of-five series up at one win apiece.

Ginebra pulled away by finishing the first quarter with a 16-4 run to open a 31-18 cushion entering the second period.

The team's defense then stifled NorthPort import Michael Qualls, who only got to score with only 32 seconds left in the second frame.

Stanley Pringle paced the Barangay with 23 points, three rebounds, five assists, and three steals, while LA Tenorio added 20 points, one rebound, and four assists.

Despite struggling offensively, Justin Brownlee still put up a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds with five assists, two steals, and one block.

Qualls still led the Batang Pier in scoring despite the first half shooting woes, finishing with 20 points, 15 coming in the third quarter, alongside five rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block. Sean Anthony came up with 19 markers, 11 boards, five dimes, and four steals.
