Everyone is now ready for the Calamba bubble. Chooks-To-Go |
MANILA--Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas 3x3 owner Ronald Mascarinas expressed his gratitude to Games and Amusements Board chairman Baham Mitra for lauding his league's preparations for its new season happening inside a bubble.
"We would like to thank Chairman Baham for the kind words. It's our job to keep our players safe first and foremost as this is their livelihoods," Mascarinas said on Tuesday, a day after Mitra and other GAB staff inspected the dry run of the Chooks 3x3 bubble at the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba.
Right after checking out the test event, Mitra said that he was impressed with how the league conducted it.

If plans push through, the Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas 3x3, scheduled for an Oct. 2 start, will be the first Philippine sports league that will resume play amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Definitely, this is a huge step forward not only for us but for Philippine sports as well in this time of a pandemic," Mascarinas further said.
Another test run is scheduled for Thursday, this time including the broadcast of the games.
