MANILA—Just as Mark Nonoy announced via Instagram that he is a UST Growling Tiger no more, Deo Cuajao also confirmed through the social media site on Monday that he left UST too.

Like Nonoy, Cuajao is linked to a move to La Salle.

Although he neither confirmed nor denied the reported move, Cuajao said that he is ready for the next chapter of his career.

Cuajao then gave thanks to the UST community for the support as well as former Tigers coach Aldin Ayo, who he considers as a second father.

Cuajao only averaged 1.1 points for UST last UAAP season, but he exploded for 17.5 points on 56 percent shooting from beyond the arc in the two games the team played in the PBA D-League before the COVID-19 pandemic halted action.

Cuajao and Nonoy's departures are the latest in the aftermath of a training bubble Ayo allegedly put up in his hometown of Capuy, Sorsogon.

The said bubble was prohibited amid the pandemic by the time it happened, prompting concerned parties to launch an investigation on the matter.
