MANILA—It looks like John Riel Casimero still wants a shot at Naoya Inoue.

Right after his knockout win against Duke Micah for the WBO bantamweight title on Sunday (Philippine Time), Casimero suddenly uttered some words at the Japanese unified champion.

"I'm strong! Inoue, where are you? Come on, man!" Casimero said in the post-fight press conference at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

He even poked fun at Inoue's moniker, saying, "You're a monster? (expletive)! You are no monster! You are a Japanese turtle!"

Casimero further insisted, "Inoue is scared at me!"

There was actually a plan to unify Casimero's WBO and Inoue's WBA, IBF, and Ring Magazine titles, and the organizers initially set the bout for April 25.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to set the plan aside.

Inoue is now set to face Jason Moloney later this year.

While Casimero may take a close look at the Inoue-Moloney bout, he now knows who we wants next.

"Come on! You're next!" Casimero hurled one last verbal jab to Inoue.
