MANILA—Another pair of games has been called off by the PBA as the league continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation within the TNT and even the Terrafirma camps.

The PBA announced on Wednesday, a few hours before its scheduled doubleheader, that the Dyip's Friday game against the Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters and the Tropang Giga's Saturday showdown with the Meralco Bolts have been postponed.

The postponements are part of the league protocols after some TNT players were tested positive for COVID-19, which also affected the Wednesday fixtures.

The ROS-Terrafirma match is the first game of a triple-header, which means the other two games, Ginebra vs. Blackwater and San Miguel vs. NLEX, will go on as they are originally scheduled at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Friday, respectively.

The PBA will announce the new schedule for the postponed games at a later date.

Meanwhile, the Bolts will now have the Elasto Painters as their opponents instead for Saturday, facing off two weeks earlier than expected as they were initially scheduled for an Aug. 8 clash.
