STA. CRUZ, Laguna--Rain Or Shine held Ginebra to its lowest output in the PBA Commissioner's Cup with Justin Brownlee around in a 93-71 rout on Wednesday night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
In the first game of his second duty as the import for the mid-season conference, Brownlee, the Gin Kings' resident Governors' Cup reinforcement, found himself on the wrong end of a blowout by halftime as the Elasto Painters held them to just five second-quarter points to break away from a tight first quarter.
Steve Taylor led ROS, which finally gave Yeng Guiao his first win back as head coach, with 21 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and one steal, while Santi Santillan added 15 points and four rebounds off the bench.
Brownlee finished with 20 markers, 16 boards, and five dimes for Ginebra, which was dealt its worst loss in the Commissioner's Cup since losing by 27 in 2019.
Jamie Malonzo's Ginebra debut ended with 14 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one steal, and three blocks.
