MANILA—Add Quincy Miller to the list of players who want to play for Gilas Pilipinas.

The Converge import made Instagram-official his intent to play for the national team in the near future.

"I wanna play on the national team," Miller said in an Instagram story with the Philippine flag emoji beside the message on Sunday night, moments after the FiberXers beat the Blackwater Bossing in the PBA Commissioner's Cup.

Miller actually made an impression of himself right in front of Gilas head coach Chot Reyes on Friday night, scoring 38 points, 20 rebounds, five assists, and one steal in a 130-117 Converge win against TNT, which Reyes also coaches.

Proving that he could make a great stretch-4 or stretch-5 fit for Gilas, the 6-foot-10 big man hit nine triples in the win in which the FiberXers held off a Tropang Giga comeback.

The game before against San Miguel, Miller went on a block party for Converge with nine rejections, while he had four against Blackwater.

The 29-year-old Miller, an American, will have to undergo naturalization to become eligible as a Philippines international, potentially joining the list of prospects that also includes two more PBA imports, TNT's Cam Oliver and Ginebra's Justin Brownlee.
