MANILA—For program director Bo Perasol, Sean Alter's addition to the lineup gives University of the Philippines another "puzzle piece" to keep its status as a title contender ahead of UAAP Season 86.

"Sean's another important piece to the puzzle for us to keep competing in the UAAP," Perasol said on Sunday night as he confirmed that Alter is heading to Diliman.

Alter was the fourth player who committed to the Fighting Maroons over the weekend after the La Salle Greenhills trio of Seven Gagate, Luis Pablo, and Josh Coronel made theirs on Friday.

Alter, Gagate, and Pablo can immediately suit up for UP in Season 86, while Coronel, who is recovering from an ACL injury he suffered during the NCAA preseason, could get to play next year in Season 87.
