MANILA--A shocker from way out basically decided the outcome of the Davao Aguilas-Dynamic Herb Cebu series in the Copa Paulino Alcantara semifinals as Davao clinched the other spot in the final despite settling for the 1-1 draw against Cebu on Friday night at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

With Davao shocking Cebu in the first leg, Davao clinched the two-match tie with a 2-1 aggregate lead.

Pao Bugas sealed Davao's place in the final by hitting a 79th-minute shot from just inside the midfield line that Jun Badelic could not save to the delight of its Manila-based fans.

Ivan Ouano thought he gave Cebu a chance to save its tournament life after scoring the equalizer way deep into stoppage time, but the referee blew his final whistle afterward.

Davao, making a PFL return through this year's Copa, will face Kaya Iloilo, 4-2 aggregate winner against Stallion Laguna in the other semifinal series, in the final on Dec. 9.

The said match is a rematch of the inaugural Copa final in 2018 won by Kaya Iloilo.
