MAKATI—Minana Evos made the most out of a huge Game 1 comeback to go 2-0 against TNC at the start of the MPL Philippines Season 13 on Friday night at the Shooting Gallery Studios here.

Just when Minana looked blown out already midway into the opening game of the tie, the club pounced on a crucial error by Dean Sumagui to spark a huge comeback.

With TNC up, 7-1, on kills with a shade above 5,100 golds ahead in net worth 11 minutes in, Sumagui, playing as Baxia, sneaked in through the wall, but the Minana quintet quickly anticipated it and killed him there outright, eventually taking a 3-1 clash win that sparked the team's comeback to take Game 1.

Minana somehow slowed down the tempo in Game 2, and it worked wonders as they contained TNC's aggression and completed the sweep.

Jann Gutierrez was named the best player of the entire match for the Setsuna Ignacio-managed club.
