MANILA - Another day, another Kaya masterclass.

Defending champions Kaya FC-Iloilo delivers another dominant display as they drop ten goals past Maharlika Taguig FC to end the third match week of the 2024 Philippines Football League Sunday inside the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

It was Kaya's second game this season with 10 or more goals, the other one is their 12-0 performance against Don Bosco Garelli last week.

Jarvey Gayoso opened the goal fest for Kaya with a fifth-minute goal, before fellow attacker Jesus Melliza added the second in the 18th minute.

Maharlika's leading scores Lucas del Rosario answered back a minute later, slotting one on the upper left corner that went past Walid Birrou.

However, Kaya put out all the stops, with forward Shuto Komaki scoring in the 21st and the 41st minute to give Kaya a 4-1 score line before added time in the first half.

From there, Gayoso scored another one after beating Anton del Rosario in a one-on-one, while Komaki completed his hat-trick one minute after a deflection from Ousman Jeng went past Mamadou Sene's guard.

Melliza opened the scoresheet in the second half in the 47th minute, before Marco Casambre and Audie Menzi added two more in the 55th and 59th minutes.

Eric Esso also joined the goalscoring fest, with his 77th goal the icing on the cake for Kaya.

The defending champs will take on the other Taguig club in One Taguig FC on April 27, while Maharlika will try to cause an upset against another contender in DH Cebu FC.
