MANILA--The Philippine Volcanoes needed a comeback trail to down Malaysia, 26-10, in the nightcap of Day 1 of the Asia Rugby Sevens Series in Hong Kong Friday evening.
After giving up back-to-back tries three and a half minutes in, the Volcanoes scored 26 unanswered points capped by two straight tries from Ryan Howe, the hero in their earlier win against South Korea, to pull away from there.
With the victory, the Volcanoes will enter Day 2 with a 2-0 record ahead of a colossal clash against host team Hong Kong on Saturday.
