MANILA--San Miguel moved halfway into possibly sweeping Rain Or Shine in the PBA Philippine Cup after a dominant 106-89 Game 2 win on Sunday night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

After a tight yet slow first quarter, the Beermen found their offensive rhythm in the second and third quarters and pulled away from there against the Elasto Painters, outscoring them, 65-50, in both periods.

June Mar Fajardo had 22 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and one block, while CJ Perez added 19 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and two steals for SMB, now 2-0 up in the best-of-seven series.

Anton Asistio fired 20 points on four triples, three rebounds, three assists, and one steal for ROS, which now needs to take Game 3 on Wednesday night at the City of Dasmarinas Arena if they want to stay alive in the series.
