MANILA--Olympic debutant John Ceniza could not get enough of his might and strength as he went none to successfully lift in the 61-kilogram men's weightlifting, Wednesday at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

He failed to lift 125 kilograms in the snatch portion in all his three attempts, enough for him to exit on his bid for the first Olympic medal on his collection.

China's Li Fabin willed his way in lifting the 143-kilogram weight in the snatch, enough to set a new Olympic record and eclipse his 141-kilogram weight which he lifted way back in Tokyo 2020 en route to the gold medal in this weight division.

Theerapong Silachai hailed as the second placer and gave Thailand its second silver medal this Olympic Games, while Hampton Morris of the United States lifted his position being the bronze medalist.

Elreen Ando and Vanessa Sarno will now be summoned in their official bid for the third medal of the Philippines' weightlifting team, on Thursday at 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday at 1:30 a.m. (all in Philippine time), respectively.
