MANILA--The PBA officially approved the much-talked-about Mikey Williams-Jordan Heading trade just in time for both Converge and TNT's last grind to a possible Top 4 finish ahead of the Philippine Cup quarterfinals.

The league's trade committee announced the approval of the straight-up swap on Monday without any revision needed.

Heading said on Wednesday night that there is no timetable for a return to action from back spasms that he suffered during the FiberXers' PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals against the Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters.

However, he added that he was doing rehab multiple times per day to hasten his recovery, which keeps a Tropang 5G debut on Friday night against the Blackwater Bossing a possibility.

On the other hand, Converge has over a week to finalize a contract signing between them and Williams, making him available for a huge showdown on June 11 against San Miguel.

The FiberXers, Tropang 5G, and Beermen are all chasing a Top 4 seed, which would mean a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals, which begin on June 18.
