MANILA—For someone who does not mind what smartphone he uses, I just think that the new Infinix GT50 Pro is just a mere upgrade from the previous GT phones the company is lending to MPL Philippines for its matches.
However, when I was given an opportunity to try out the Infinix GT50 Pro by myself, I realized that there were more to the said phone than I was expecting.
So in this special edition of Game Analysis, I will not make a quick analysis of an esports match, but one of the gadget that makes the match happen.
Yes, the Infinix GT50 Pro is indeed an upgrade from the GT20 Pro, which I currently own, and the GT30 Pro, but there were specifics that I admired a lot.
During the trial run, I focused more on the gaming (of course, it was the official phone for the recently concluded MPL Philippines Season 17) and the video quality since I have been taking video interviews as of late.
For the gaming part, what stood out for me is the liquid cooling technology that keeps the phone cool even in the heat of the game.
The Infinix GT20 Pro does not have the special back feature, so either you have to pause for a while if the phone is heating too much or play at an air-conditioned room instead. However, even if I played too much using the GT50 Pro on a humid day, the phone did not heat so much thanks to the temperature control the liquid cooling technology brings.
If you're still not convinced, every pre-order of the new phone comes with a one-year liquid cooling warranty.
Of course, the better gameplay is given since the phone is powered by a 144 FPS Gaming Ecosystem and MLBB Certified High Frame Rate support.
Now for the vlogging part.
One feature I like are the quick options where you can immediately zoom the camera to 2x without doing it the manual way.
Just choose either to stay at 1x, zoom to 2x, or even go for a smaller view at 0.6x, which is suitable for those who love to do a groufie together.
Of course, if you feel like 2x is not enough, you can zoom the phone the old fashioned way to your desired size.
Another thing I liked quickly was the vlog option for your videos.
Since I'm into sports, I tried the sports vlog option, and although I got confused at first, I still did a sports highlight vlog. One more rave I gave to the phone is its wireless charging technology powered by the Infinix GT Magcase.
Before I went home from my MPL Philippines coverage at the FilOil Centre in San Juan City, I took some midnight snacks first at a Jollibee restaurant.
There, I found a wireless charging pod, so I placed the phone there.
It was working, but the wireless charging performs better if you use the Infinix GT Magcharge Cooler.
I will give my full rave on the Magcharge Cooler in a future critique. At the end of the day, I feel more satisfied with the Infinix GT50 Pro with all the upgrades and bonuses it has compared to the GT20 Pro.
The Infinix GT50 Pro will be made available to the public on Wednesday, but you can pre-order the phone now so you can get additional perks.
