MANILA—Myanmar sent a message to the Philippine Men's National Football Team ahead of their upcoming clash with a 6-1 win against Guam in the second match of the PMNFT-hosted Trination Friendlies on Saturday night at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Soe Moe Kyaw delivered the opening goal in the 13th minute after converting a play off a short corner kick.

Maung Maung Lwin made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute after finding himself with only the goalkeeper to beat following a quick counterattack.

Then it was Win Naing Tun's turn to expose Guam's loopholes in the backline when he blitzed past the defense for a converted one-on-one opportunity in the 35th minute.

He then started the second half with a 53rd minute goal to make it 4-0 and complete a brace.

Zaw Win Thein joined the scoring barrage as he stretched Myanmar's lead to five in the 57th minute.

Myanmar did not mind losing Ye Yint Aung to a direct red card late in the match as the team scored once more through a Shine Wunna Aung shot in the 86th minute.

"Our technique was followed. That's why we scored six," head coach Myo Hlaing Win told Dugout Philippines after the match.

James Gomez scored a consolation penalty for Guam in stoppage time.

"It's not the result that we wanted, but just being able to come out and take games in... enables us to build that chemistry. I think we're gonna improve from the Trination Friendlies," Gomez said as he evaluated their stay in the pocket tournament.

The PMNFT and Myanmar will cap the Trination Friendlies with their showdown on Tuesday night.
