Blackwater delivers early PBA Govs' Cup stunner vs ROS

RODRIGUEZ, Rizal—Blackwater pulled off an early surprise in just the second night of the PBA Governors' Cup, shocking Rain or Shine with a 131-108 rout on Saturday at the Ynares Center 2.

One conference after being on the wrong side of the biggest blowout win in the league's history, the Bossing got back at the Elasto Painters in style, banking on a consistent offense that saw the Ever Bilena franchise scoring 36 points in each of the first three quarters while opening a lead as high as 34 points, 103-69, late in the third period.

Kentrell Barkley put up a triple-double of 29 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists with one block for Blackwater.

Amid playing through a temporary relief from his free agency situation, Sedrick Barefield added 24 points, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

RK Ilagan contributed 22 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Aaron Fuller put up 38 points, 15 rebounds, one assist, and one block for ROS.
