MANILA—Converge opened its PBA Governors' Cup campaign with a bang by ripping Titan Ultra 105-74 on Sunday night at the Ynares Center Montalban in Rodriguez, Rizal.
Defense set the tone for the FiberXers as they held the Giant Risers, still playing minus James Milton, as he is still waiting for his FIBA letter of clearance, to just nine points in the first quarter and continued to pull away from there.
Jalen Hudson had 20 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and four steals in a solid debut for Converge, while Archie Concepcion added 16 points on 5 of 7 shooting, one rebound, and one assist off the bench.
Fran Yu and Brian Sajonia each had 14 markers for Titan Ultra, which fell to 0-2.
