QUEZON CITY—The country's combat sports scene takes center stage once again as Black Tie Black Eye Affair returns with two nights of high-level competition, featuring professional mixed martial arts and white-collar boxing on August 14 and 15 at Solaire Entertainment City in Parañaque City.

The two-day spectacle was officially unveiled during a press conference held on Saturday at the Quezon Club of Solaire North, where organizers introduced a fight card designed to showcase rising stars, championship-caliber athletes, and a unique blend of sport and philanthropy.

The opening night on August 14 marks the debut of Zeus MMA, which promises an action-packed evening featuring 12 professional bouts as some of the country's top prospects and international fighters step inside the cage.

Headlining the inaugural Zeus MMA event is a battle for the vacant Zeus Featherweight Championship between Filipino contender Jethro Saba and Australian veteran Trent Girdham.

Saba enters the championship bout armed with explosive striking power and the ability to finish a fight at any moment, while Girdham brings a well-rounded arsenal built on years of international competition, making the title clash one of the most anticipated matchups of the weekend.

Also making their debuts are MJ "Pretty Boy" Magistrado and Mican "The Problem" Olmillo, two promising prospects eager to make an immediate impact as they begin their professional MMA careers.

The spotlight shifts on August 15 as the fifth edition of the Black Tie Affair combines the excitement of white-collar boxing with an evening of elegance and charitable giving.

The event will feature 12 boxing bouts before an audience of more than 700 distinguished guests, bringing together business leaders, sports personalities, and boxing enthusiasts for a night that blends competition with a meaningful cause.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Virlanie Foundation, a non-profit, non-sectarian children's foundation in the Philippines dedicated to providing care, protection, and opportunities for disadvantaged and vulnerable children.

More than just another fight weekend, the Black Tie Black Eye Affair showcases the continued growth of combat sports in the country while proving that the power of sport extends far beyond the ring and the cage.
