MPBL: Cebu clobbers Bacolod to stretch streak ahead of home stand

BACOOR—Cebu continued its hot run midway into the MPBL regular season after ripping Bacolod 97-67 on Thursday night at the STRIKE Gymnasium.

In their last game before returning home, the Greats pulled away from the Masskaras after holding them to just 10 points in the second quarter before dropping 35 in the third.

Cebu sealed the blowout by limiting Bacolod to only 10 points again in the fourth period.

Mark Meneses led the Greats, who will enter their two-game home stand on a seven-game winning streak and at 14-3, with 18 points on 8 of 12 shooting, eight rebounds, seven assists, one block, and two steals.

Jun Manzo added 13 points in only 10 and a half minutes, going 6-for-8 from the field, two rebounds, and one steal.

Desmond Price paced the Masskaras, who dropped to 3-16, one game behind the Sarangani Marlins for the last spot in the play-in games, with 18 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
