MANILA—Not even Tirrell Brown's arrival kept Titan Ultra away from struggling further in the PBA Governors' Cup as NLEX delivered a 135-100 hammer in their Tuesday night game at the Ynares Center 1 in Antipolo.
While Brown, who was activated due to the FIBA letter of clearance issue surrounding James Milton, proved his worth by scoring in bunches in the first half, the Giant Risers could not contain the Road Warriors as the latter zoomed to a 61-43 halftime lead.
Titan Ultra somehow kept in step with NLEX offensively in the third quarter, but the latter went on a 38-18 fourth quarter to pull away for good.
Schonny Winston fired 30 points on 12 of 18 shooting with nine rebounds, six assists, and one steal to lead the Road Warriors, who are now 3-0 in the standings.
Robert Bolick added 29 points on 11 of 16 field goals, including 4 of 7 on threes, seven rebounds, and four assists.
DeQuan Jones contributed 22 points, six rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
Brown finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and one steal for the Giant Risers, who fell to 0-3.
