ANTIPOLO—Terrafirma took advantage of Titan Ultra playing undermanned and opened the PBA Governors' Cup with a 113-100 win on Friday night at the Ynares Center 1.

With James Milton, the supposed replacement import, not getting his clearance in time, the Giant Risers had to play all-Filipino against the Dyip but showed heart and kept the game close.

However, Terrafirma pulled away in the end with its locals stepping up.

Justin Strings led the Dyip with 25 points, 16 rebounds, and six assists, while Geo Chiu added career-highs of 19 points and 23 rebounds with one block.

In his first game back with Terrafirma, Juami Tiongson contributed 13 points, three rebounds, one assist, and one steal off the bench.

Aris Dionisio led the Giant Risers with 21 points, nine rebounds, one block, and two steals.

In his first pro basketball game back after two years, John Amores had five points, all in the third quarter, and two rebounds.
