PBA: Converge breaks slump vs Terrafirma in Cameron Clark's return

MANILA—Cameron Clark turned out to be the needed piece for Converge to return to its winning ways in the PBA Governors' Cup as the team clobbered Terrafirma 120-103 on Tuesday night at the Ynares Center 1 in Antipolo.

Replacing Jamaal Franklin, Clark delivered a solid two-way performance to lead the FiberXers in the blowout win, tallying 22 points on 9 of 15 field goals, five rebounds, one assist, three steals, and two blocks.

Justin Arana added 20 points on 8-for-15 shooting, 12 rebounds, one assist, and one block as they rode on a hot first half where they raced to 70 points at halftime.

The Dyip found their rhythm in the third quarter and dropped 31 points on the FiberXers, but the deficit, which at one point was at 29, was just too huge to overcome.

Calvin Abueva had a near-perfect game of 17 points on 6 of 7 shooting with 11 rebounds, three assists, and one block to lead Converge's bench crew as the team snapped a four-game losing streak to move up to solo fourth place in Group A at 4-4.

Justin Strings led Terrafirma, which dropped to 3-5, with 28 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block.

Juami Tiongson added 21 points on 7-for-14 shooting, two rebounds, three assists, and three steals, while Geo Chiu had 16 points on an almost flawless 6-for-7 field goals, 11 rebounds, and four blocks.
