MANILA—Rondae Hollis-Jefferson's much-awaited comeback will finally happen on Tuesday night when TNT battles Macau in their PBA Governors' Cup duel at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

The Tropang 5G activated their resident import on Monday in time for the 5:15 p.m. clash against the struggling Giant Pandas.

Hollis-Jefferson returns to professional basketball after an Achilles tendon injury he sustained while playing for Meralco on loan from TNT in the EASL last year.

The Tropang 5G initially wanted to activate him right as the PBA resumed after the long Gilas Pilipinas break.

However, both Hollis-Jefferson and older brother Rahlir went back to the United States to attend to family matters, particularly the passing of their grandmother, prompting TNT to sign Nick Hornsby as a stand-in.

Hornsby played well in his two-game stint with the Tropang 5G, helping them clinch a playoff berth, but looking to get a higher seeding in the best-of-five crossover quarterfinals, they activated "RHJ".

The other game for Tuesday night features the Bolts battling the Blackwater Bossing for a chance to solidify their hopes for a quarterfinal spot.
