SAN JUAN, MM--Fourteen-year-old Miggy Sahali played in one game of a certain basketball tournament at the CCP Gym in Quezon City on Friday.

But two hours after the said game, here he was suiting up for a match in another cagefest later in the night at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

For the Ateneo Blue Eaglet, however, having to juggle between two preseason tournaments was all worth it.

"Sabi ng coach ko na maglalaro ako [sa City Hoops at sa FilOil]. Syempre excited ako. Binibigay ko ang lahat ng kaya ko," said the Zamboanga native to Dugout Philippines right after the tail end of his "back-to-back", Ateneo's match in the FilOil Cup against Adamson. The front end saw him playing for one of two Ateneo U-15 teams in the City Hoops Preseason Cup.

Sahali, on how he transferred to Ateneo De Manila at age 12 from Ateneo De Zamboanga, relayed, "Nakita ako sa Palarong Pambansa. Doon ako nakuha."

He made impressions on both the City Hoops and the FilOil games. However, he split the two games as his City Hoops team, Ateneo Blue, downed Ateneo White but his FilOil team fell to Adamson.

"Malas pa rin [sa huli]," Sahali evaluated his overall performance, implying that he wanted to win both games.

Still, he expressed happiness that he is playing alongside Batang Gilas players SJ Belangel, Jason Credo, RV Berjay, and even 6-foot-9 prospect Kai Sotto with the Blue Eaglets, making him more motivated to strive hard to make it to the UAAP squad.

Berjay and Sotto, like Sahali, also see action in City Hoops but with Ateneo's U-17 side.
