MANILA--Junemar Fajardo is very likely to take home a record-tying fourth PBA MVP title as he leads the nominees for the Leo Awards that will happen at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Friday night.
The awarding ceremonies will happen at 5:30 p.m., right before Game 4 of the Governors' Cup Finals between Ginebra and Meralco.
Fajardo got an automatic nomination for the season's top individual prize after taking home the Best Player of the Conference award in the Philippine Cup.

But the 6-foot-10 center has a very huge chance of joining the elite team of Alvin Patrimonio and Mon Fernandez as the only players with four MVP's as he ruled the stats race through the semifinals of the Governors' Cup.

Also getting outright nominations are Fajardo's San Miguel teammate Chris Ross and Ginebra's own beanpole Greg Slaughter, who respectively took the BPC awards in the import-spiced conferences.
As being the top stats leader other than Fajardo, Alex Cabagnot also notched a nomination for the MVP award.
The said four players are also in the running for the Mythical Selections, while Ross is a cinch for Most Improved Player.
Meanwhile, Matt Wright and RR Pogoy are the top candidates for Rookie of the Year.
Also to be given out are the All-Defensive Team and the Sportsmanship Award plums.
