PASAY--Raymond Almazan lamented Rain Or Shine's first loss in the PBA Commissioner's Cup so much.

Following a 3-0 start, the Elasto Painters suffered a painful defeat to the Columbian Dyip, who finished 1-10 in the Philippine Cup, on Wednesday night at the Mall of Asia Arena.

"Binigyan namin sila masyado ng kumpyansa. So siguro yan yung reason bakit kami natalo. Masyado kaming relaxed," Almazan said after the game.

ROS' defeat also came just before the team takes on San Miguel on Sunday night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo, which made things even tougher.

"Coming from a loss [pa Columbian] tapos kalaban pa namin next game San Miguel, so it was a tough game. You know San Miguel naman sobrang lakas na team," Almazan continued.

Almazan particularly rued the E-Painters' sluggish stint in the first six minutes of the game, when they let the Dyip open a 19-10 lead, and in the final moments of the third quarter, when they let an 8-0 start to the said period slip away, setting up the Dyip's fourth quarter shutdown.

"Noong first quarter kasi, sobrang flat talaga. Pag start ng 3rd medyo OK, pero noong nakalamang na, medyo nagre-relax then hanggang ayun, ‘di na kami makaahon. Talo!" he continued.
