QUEZON CITY -- For the ninth season in a row, FEU-FERN retained its UAAP Juniors' football title after scraping past a gritty NU-Nazareth side by the slimmest of scorelines in the final Thursday afternoon at the Moro Lorenzo in Ateneo.

Pocholo Bugas' 16th minute strike was the lone difference in the title match, as well as the seventh goal of the season was enough for the Golden Boot, with Bo Bae Park celebrated his second consecutive UAAP title as the title remains in Diliman for another season.

That strike broke the ice in their ties between them, with both of their match-ups in the elimination round ended in goalless draws.

"I feel blessed po, super overwhelmed," said the younger sibling of Paolo whose winning mentality when he was with Morayta was inherited, along with his fabled number 39.

Midfielder Marc Tobias  breezed through the Golden Ball as the league's best high school footballer, with Keith Absalon (Best Midfielder), Kart Talaroc (Rookie of the year) and Kristian Bumatay (Golden glove for best goalkeeper) completed the quintet of individual awardees for the Baby Tamaraws.

"For me, it's really happy for the members," said the former Stallion Laguna midfielder who is used to winning, having won the double with Ernie Nierras-led side in the old UFL in 2013.
