ANTIPOLO--Sibol's men's Mobile Legends Bang Bang team breezed past what many MLBB fans perceived as the toughest group in the Southeast Asian Games after going undefeated at all in the group stages on Saturday at the Chualongkorn University Gymnasium in Bangkok.

Sibol, represented by Team Liquid Philippines, finished the group stages perfect at 4-0, scoring four consecutive 2-0 scorelines to rule Group B.

Liquid PH first delivered the hammer against sister team Team Liquid Indonesia in their first match before sweeping Laos, represented by Leon Esports, Singapore, formed by a selection of players from Team Flash, Team Stallion SG, and Absolute Zero, and Malaysia, backed by the core of Selangor plus players from Todak and Monster Vicious, in order.

When asked about ending up in the presumed "group of death", head coach Rodel "Arsy" Cruz said that he did not mind the group draw at all.

"Sa mga draw, wala kaming pakialam kung sino yung lumabas kasi wala rin kaming choice kung sino yung makakalaban namin eh," Cruz said, adding that they would just turn their attention to preparing for the matches instead of worrying about the draw outcome.

Liquid PH joins Group A top seed Falcon Esports, representing Myanmar, in the semifinals, while Malaysia, the reigning IESF world champion, will need to beat host team Thailand, backed by Chiang Mai Esports, in the quarterfinals to keep its medal hopes alive.

The other quarterfinal match will see Liquid ID facing off with Vietnam, consisting of players from Saigon Phantom, RLG SE, and Eclipse Esports, for the right to face Liquid PH in the semis.
