QUEZON CITY—Bol Bol proved to be a tough nut to crack for reigning PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo as TNT blasted San Miguel, 118-92, on Saturday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

What was expected to be a tight rematch of the Philippine Cup Finals quickly turned into a blowout as the Tropang 5G imposed their will on both ends of the floor early on.

Not helping the cause was the 6-foot-10 Fajardo's struggles with the seven-foot-three Bol guarding him, limiting him to 1-for-8 shooting in the first half before finally getting his offense going with the outcome already settled.

Bol led TNT, which moved up to 2-1, with 34 points on 14-of-28 field goals, 18 rebounds, and one block, while Calvin Oftana added 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting, including 3-of-6 on threes, three rebounds, three assists, and one block.

Marcus Lee dropped 30 points on 12-of-16 field goals, 14 rebounds, one assist, and one steal for SMB, which dropped to 1-2.

Fajardo finished with 15 points, 20 rebounds, and two assists, although he went 5-for-13 from the field in the end.
