MANILA--Justin Patton made a good account of himself in his PBA debut, but CJ Perez shone brightly for San Miguel in a 110-94 rout against Macau on Tuesday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Perez went 11-of-17 from the field, including 9-for-12 on twos and 2-of-3 on fours for 26 points to lead the way for the Beermen, who slowly but surely took the fight out of the Black Knights.
He added three rebounds, five assists, and one steal as SMB moved up to 2-2 ahead of the Holy Week break.
Patton added 24 points on 10-of-19 shooting, 16 rebounds, two assists, one block, and three steals, while June Mar Fajardo tallied 16 points, 16 rebounds, six assists, and two steals.
Tony Mitchell led Macau, which remained winless at 0-5, with 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting, 10 rebounds, two assists, three blocks, and two steals.
