QUEZON CITY--Team Liquid Philippines showed that its perfect first round is not a fluke, beating Aurora Gaming Philippines again, 2-0, to start the second round of MPL Philippines Season 17 on Friday night at the Victoria Sports Tower.
Liquid PH demolished Aurora PH in the series opener with a 14-2 kill count, needing only 11 minutes and one Lord to finish it off.
Still perfect in the Flying Clouds mode entering Game 2, Liquid PH was threatened with an early-game barrage from Aurora PH.
However, Liquid PH slowly chipped away Aurora PH's gold lead, which was at more than 2,000 before the first turtle appeared, and eventually took the upper hand after securing the second turtle.
Aurora PH never recovered after botching the solid early game, and Liquid PH called game after 14 minutes.
Liquid PH remains undefeated with an 8-0 record, while Aurora PH dropped to 3-5.
